Sterling “Park” Anders, Jr., Chief Executive Officer
Park is Chief Exectuive Officer of Budgetext Corporation. He began his Budgetext career in 1986 as a College Retail Store Manager, applying his expertise in retail store site selection and operations in several metropolitan markets. Throughout his tenure, Park has played a key role developing and growing the company’s vision, leading to subsequent positions as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Park is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization, a Used Textbook Association board member, an inductee of the 2008 Leadership Class of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, and has been recognized by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal for community achievement and leadership.
Park holds a B.S.B.A. with emphasis in Finance from the University of Arkansas and a M.B.A. from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. Married with two daughters, Park enjoys travel and spending time with his family.

Chris Tompkins, Vice President of College Sales
Chris joined Budgetext in 1988 as a sales representative, developing expertise in college bookstore student buybacks, overstock textbook purchases, development of textbook want lists, and qualifying store system prospects. Today, Chris serves as Vice President for College Sales, directing Budgetext’s college field representative force
and leading purchasing, sales, and distribution efforts for used and new textbooks in the college market.
Prior to Budgetext, Chris practiced law and served as a pilot in the United States Navy, completing Cold War-era tours in the Mediterranean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean. Chris earned his J.D. at Vanderbilt University and his B.S. degree at the United States Naval Academy.

James B. Madden, Vice President of Human Resources
Joining Budgetext in November of 2003, Jim brings over thirty years of human resources experience to his position as Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to Budgetext, Jim held increasingly progressive positions in the retail, banking, healthcare, and book distribution markets.
A Duke University graduate, Jim holds a B.A. in History. Married with two sons, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, home projects, and working out at the gym.

Jake Skelton, Executive Vice President of Sales
Executive Vice President of Sales, Jake began working with Budgetext in 1983 as a College Account Representative. During his tenure, his experience in strategic planning, product management, client services, and broker development have been key components to Budgetext’s success. Jake expertise results in an intimate understanding of internal processes and external customer needs.
Married with children and grandchildren, Jake is avid Arkansas Razorback fan and enjoys football and boating.

Benton Cate, Vice President of Special Markets
As Vice President of Special Markets, Benton focuses on new products with emphasis on dictionary and reference materials, classic literature, and new textbooks. Benton also directs Budgetext’s rebinding services, specializing in the full spectrum of textbook refurbishing for optimal customer quality. Prior to joining Budgetext in June of 1995, Benton held positions in manufacturing, insurance sales, and employee benefits administration.
Benton earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Married with four children, he enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

Bill Carter, Vice President of K-12
Bill joined Budgetext in 1991 as a sales representative for the company’s retail automation solutions department. His expertise in technology and business analysis expanded his role in 1993, resulting in his subsequent position as Vice President of Information Technology. Today, Bill serves as Vice President K-12, directing that marketplace’s delivery of textbooks, products, and services.
Prior to Budgetext, Bill held executive positions in the telecommunications industry. Previously he served eight years as a maritime intelligence analyst for the United States Navy.
